THE Bewell Street Tesco team is stepping up the training in preparation for this year's Cancer Research UK Race for Life, on Sunday, July 10.
Among the team are two sisters, Carol Stacey and Helen Franklyn, who will be running for the sixth time. They first put on their trainers the year after Helen was diagnosed with breast cancer.
"Thankfully she got through it," says Carol.
It is a tradition of the Race for Life - supported by Tesco - that entrants wear a card bearing the name of someone for whom they are running. Carol's is for Helen, while Helen's will read, as it has done every year, 'myself'.
