TWO people have died following a car crash at Corse Lawn.
A silver Renault Clio Aura saloon and a red Ford Escort LX saloon collided on the B4211 at 8pm on Tuesday (June 28).
The accident closed the road for five and a half hours and was attended by fire crews from Upton, Ledbury and Tewkesbury.
A female passenger in the front seat of the Clio was killed and a female passenger in the Escort died the following day at Chelten-ham General Hospital.
Neither woman has yet been named. Inquests are due to be opened within the next few days.
The male driver of the Clio sustained serious internal injuries and was taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital, where his condition was described yesterday as stable.
Two other female passengers in the Clio were also taken to hospital, one with spinal injuries for which she was admitted to Chelten-ham General Hospital.
The male driver of the Ford Escort was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
