A Ledbury teenager has won a "best recruit" award after graduating from the Recruit Training Squadron at RAF Halton, Buckinghamshire.
Former John Masefield High School pupil Angela Sterio, 19, of New Street, will now be posted to RAF Cosford, in Shropshire, to train as a communications expert.
She said: "I really enjoyed all aspects of the training, especially the ground defence and physical training.
"I'm thrilled to have received the award for displaying the greatest effort and determination."
In recognition of her hard work and achievements, she received the prestigious Rothschild Trophy from Air Commodore Peter Drissell, the parade reviewing officer.
