PEGASUS Juniors' clubman of the year is Roger Hesten.

The award, which was handed over as the club marked a successful season at their annual presentation evening at Karlo's, is made to the club member who has made the biggest contribution throughout the year.

There were celebrations, too, for Julie Nicholas who, for the second time, headed the West Midland Women's League poll for league player of the year.

Pegasus' director of football Mark Williams thanked the club's managers and players for their performances over the past season and spoke about the development of the club's Old School Lane headquarters.

This was on target for the start of the season, he said, and with a new floodlit stadium, a playing surface that should be better than most in the county and good team performances across the board, brighter times lay ahead for the club.

GLS Hellenic League team manager Chris Hyde explained that the side had finished four points above their target of 40 and, with more than half the squad under19, the future for the team looked considerably brighter than at the same stage last year.

Hyde said that he was targeting four new players for the coming season and was more than confident of signing two of them.
