SCHOOL FETE - The fete is due to be held on Saturday, at 2.30pm, on the school field. Attractions include: games of skill, pony rides, a bouncy slide and skittles plus lots of prizes, complemented by stalls selling cakes, plants, books and homemade teas along with displays of children's work (In the Cedar Hall if raining).
GREAT SUCCESS - The gardens at The Great House were open under The National Gardens Scheme earlier this month. More than 90 people attended, and £475 was raised - £171 of this going to St Michael's Hospice.
CHEF CHALLENGE - Chef Stephen Bailey rose to the challenge set by the Shobdon Food and Drink Festival on how to prepare canaps and party food using produce on sale at the festival and devoted a slot to children's party food.
