GARDENS OPEN - Weston-u-Penyard is holding a gardens open weekend on Saturday, July 9 and Sunday, July 10, from 11am-5pm each day.
There will be 23 gardens, several of which have never been open to the public.The start will be at Weston School, where a ticket to all 23 can be bought. A one-day ticket will cost £5 (adults) and a two-day ticket is £8 (free admission for children).
The school will provide morning coffee, light lunches and teas and there are various stalls and a garden draw.
The school will also be open where the children's work and a display of the their flower-pot men can be seen.
On Sunday, at 2pm, at Bollitree Castle the Newent and Scottish Singers will perform songs from the present day to much earlier times.
All proceeds from this event will be for Weston C of E School and the fabric fund of Weston Church.
