LUCTONIANS are once again to play host to some of the region's top disabled cricketers next month.
Cricketers from the Midlands and Wales will be travelling to Kingsland on Sunday, July 17 to take part in the special day which will feature both men's and women's matches.
The games are organised by Cricket for People with Disabilities (CFPD) and spectators are welcome.
Prospective players who think they might like to take part can contact Simon Hickton on 01547 529816.
With disabled sections now in place at the Llandrindod Wells and Brecon clubs, a meeting is also to be held next month in Llandrindod with a view to setting up a Mid Wales Disabled Cricket League.
"We hope eventually this might spill over the border into Herefordshire so we are keen to raise awareness," said Hickton.
Anyone interested in attending the meeting should contact Hickton (as above) or Brecon-based Powys disability sports development officer Beverley Tucker on 01874 612034.
