SIMON Geary was a convincing winner of Hereford Wheelers' 10th 10-mile time trial which was held on the Allensmore circuit in excellent weather and produced a good turnout.
Fourteen riders raced in hot temperatures and hardly any wind, with Geary coming through to win in 24 mins 11 secs, beating second-placed Wheeler Chris Hughes by 35 secs.
Two riders from the 'Come and Try It' 10-mile cycle race held the previous week returned to race again on the same course.
Ewan Short, of Climb on Bikes, clocked 25.56, beating the previous week by 2.14 and this was an excellent time for 14-year-old. And Chris Head improved his time by 1.14 with 28.32.
First lady home was Susan Hughes in 29.15.
Top five places: 1 Simon Geary 24.11 mins, 2 Chris Hughes 24.46, 3 Peter Ding 24.50, 4 Jon Tetley 25.42, 5 Paul Tomkinson 25.48.
