ELEVEN fighters from Hereford's Combat Academy made the short trip to Worcester to take part in the National Ju Jutsu Kumite Council Midlands Champion-ship.
And the six seniors and five juniors found their efforts rewarded with a clutch of medals.
Olly Bohn had a hard battle seeing off the challenge of 15 other competitors en-route to retaining his gold medal in the under-26kg category, while Becky Hayes made a successful move up from under-35kg to take gold in the under-40kg.
Dan Hayes had a very close battle in the under-50kg blue-black belt section before taking gold while Richard Baker took his first gold in an area event in the under-50kg.
Bram Roberts made light work of three opponents to take gold in the under-86kg section while Academy coach Dave Coles stormed to gold in the under-95kg submission fighting event.

Silver: Jack Stanton (under-50kg white-green); Emma Baker (women's); Neil Preedy (under-78kg submission fighting); Dan Buckley (under-85kg submission fighting).
Bronze: Neil Preedy (under-78kg); Bram Roberts (under-86kg submission fighting); Lewis Green (intermediates).
