A Golden Valley school has been given a golden report by education watchdogs.
The Hereford pre-school group got top marks following an Ofsted inspection.
Based at the Community Centre, in Peterchurch, the school, which opens three days a week and caters for 31 youngsters aged two to five, is described as "very good" in all six areas of learning.
"Golden Valley Pre-school provides very good quality nursery education, which enables children to make very good progress towards the early learning goals," said Ofsted inspector Susan Tyler, who visited in February.
Activities singled out for praise included the teaching of mathematics and physical development.
The inspector said that there had been a complete change of staff at Golden Valley since the last inspection and that good progress had been made in improving areas where there had been weaknesses.
"Five of the six staff are qualified and have a good understanding of the foundation stage," said the report.
"The special educational needs co-ordinator is trained, knowledgeable and follows the code of practice."
However, the inspection, which took place earlier this year, identified weaknesses in the opportunities for pupils to record their own findings and in the dating of assessment records.
The inspector has called for improvements in both these areas.
