PEOPLE from Colwall, Cradley and parts of Ledbury can access out-of-hours GP services in Malvern on weekend mornings from July.
Herefordshire Primary Care Trust says patients living in east Herefordshire can be treated in Malvern on Saturday and Sunday mornings, when demand for out-of-hours services is at its highest.
Patients will still have to travel to Leominster, Ross-on-Wye or Hereford to see a GP at other out-of- hours times.
Simon Hairsnape, of Herefordshire PCT, said: "We think this is what people want in terms of concerns that have been raised with us.
"We think it's a good solution. If we find there's a need still in the system we'll want to review it."
Patient forum member Marcus Allen, from Colwall, has been campaigning for out-of-hours arrangements to change for months.
"It's a fantastic bit of progress. We're going to see how it goes and then start pressing for full time," he said.
