Ledbury's long-awaited new coach park, located at the Countrywide site off the Dymock Road, could be finished by the end of this month.
The project, costing over £30,000 and aimed at boosting tourism, has been funded by Here-fordshire Council and Pettifer Estates, whichbuilt Homebase's £3.5m store on the Lower Road Trading Estate.
Work on the car park started several weeks ago and is nearing completion.
Former Ledbury mayor Keith Francis: "It's taken a long time. It has been two years since I started to push for this and now one of the things I wanted to happen when I was the mayor has finally happened, and I welcome it. Ledbury needs a dedicated coach park."
The new coach park, which has six spaces, has also been welcomed by the present mayor, Mary Cooper, who said: "Hope-fully, it will help to bring more tourism into the town and boost trade and also raise the profile of Ledbury."
