PARISH COUNCIL - At the June meeting a short presentation was made by Margaret Woodward and Peter Overstall representing the newly formed Ewyas Harold History and Archeology
Group.They explained plans for a systematic study of the medieval village,
church, castle and priory sites.Grant aid would be sought. The scheme was being actively supported by the County Archeologist Keith Ray and progress would be publicised on the parish council website.
Parish Plan - The final draft has been printed. Copies were distributed to
councillors for feedback at the next meeting.A final public consultation meeting will be held before publication.
Local Security - The Community Support Officer has recently offered a regular surgery at Ewyas Harold if a suitable venue can be found. The offer was accepted.
Planning - An application has been received for an extension to The Ruthlands, Rowlestone.
Parish Footpaths Officer - A monthly report would be sent to the Council to distinguish work to be done by Hereford Council from that to be dealt with at parish level.
Unitary Development Plan - An inquiry into the flood risk aspects will be held at the Memorial Hall tomorrow (Friday) at 7.30pm. Next council meeting will be held on Tuesday, July 5, in the Memorial Hall.
ABBEYDORE FESTIVAL - Tomorrow (Friday) at 7.30pm there is a recital by Emma Kirkby and Anthony Rooley, tickets £10. Saturday 11.30am Lunchtime Choral Concert of Motets and Part Songs in Kilpeck Church given by George's Occasional Singers - retiring collection. In the Abbey on Saturday Orchestral Concert by the The Craswall Players 7.30pm followed at 10.30pm by Compline by Candlelight. Sunday 11.30am Festival Holy Communion with the Bishop of Hereford.
