VILLAGE SHOW - Last week the village show committee performed the pleasant task of presenting cheques to seven village organisations and local charities from the surplus income earned from the show in May. Managing director of the Martha Trust, Jeremy Laurie, ECHO Volunteers Co-ordinator Maisie Smith with volunteers Rosalie and Glen Hutton and Penny Corbet from Riding for the Disabled accepted cheques, presented by Chairman Brigadier John Spackman. The Dilwynner village magazine, Dilwyn Playgroup and the village hall also received cheques as well as the Leominster Air Training Corps. John thanked the ATC for their help at the show controlling the car park, running side shows and dismantling the site and presented a cheque to Flt Lt. Val Hickin who was accompanied by Cpl. Penny Hickin and Cadet Bradley Giffard.
SCHOOL FETE- Note that Dilwyn School fete will be held on Saturday, July 2, opening at 2.30pm.
