HEREFORDSHIRE'S under-14 cricketers have revealed considerable potential with two useful victories.
The county side beat Shrewsbury School by 38 runs to build on a pleasurable 79-run success against local rivals Worcestershire.
Danny Barling (78) and Ed Oliver (33 not out) led the way as Herefordshire piled up 204-6 from their 50 overs against Worcestershire at Bromsgrove School.
Josh Emery (3-24), Jonty Hylands (3-27) and Josh Barazetti-Scott (2-15) then took over to dismiss the home side for 125.
Barling (37 retired hurt) and Emery (42) were in the runs against Shrewsbury School as Herefordshire rattled along to 179-4 in their 35 overs.
Matthew Biggs (2-17), Louis Watkins (2-27) and Ben George (2-16) bowled well to restrict the home side to 141-9.
