Ledbury Rugby Club continue their battle against relegation from Midlands Three West (South) following a 3-32 defeat at Ross Road.
LEDBURY RFC 3PTS, PERSHORE 32PTS
Although Ledbury ran the Piddle Park-based visitors close in the away game early in the season, before eventually losing 22-16, second-placed Pershore virtually ensured promotion with this win on Saturday that sees them three points clear of third-placed Hereford with just two games to go.
Ledbury continue their Midlands Three West (South) relegation battle tomorrow (Saturday) with a tough visit to fourth-placed Old Leamingtonians (3pm).
Ledbury were outplayed by Old Leamingtonians in the home match in December, going down 3-22 at Ross Road.
What could be bring bad news for Ledbury is that Shipston, who are on the same points as Ledbury but have a better points difference, travel to already relegated Droitwich this weekend and victory there would leave Ledbury needing three points to avoid the drop. Ledbury face county rivals Hereford at home in their final match on April 23.
