Ledbury Town cruised into the next round of the FA Vase with a 4-1 win over higher league opponents Biddulph Victoria.
LEDBURY TOWN 4, BIDDULPH VICTORIA 1
Midland Alliance side Biddulph had the first chance on eight minutes with a one-on-one with the home goalkeeper but Craig Humphries made a good save.
On 20 minutes Nathan Haisley opened the scoring for Ledbury with a shot from 12 yards into the bottom corner.
Four minutes later Lee Hooper scored with a looping header from a Alex Volosonovs free kick, then on 27 minutes Robbie Colwell latched onto a short back pass and slid the ball past the advancing keeper.
Just before the break Colwell made it four with an unstoppable 25-yard thunderbolt.
In the second half Biddulph put Ledbury under pressure but they were thwarted time and time again by the outstanding Humphries.
In very wet and difficult conditions Hooper, Haisley and Godfrey brought good saves from the Biddulph keeper.
On 88 minutes Ledbury gave away a penalty and Neil Pestridge converted for a consolation goal.
Town have a home draw against Sutton Town on November 20 in the FA Vase second round.
