ON Wednesday, Ledbury Town entertained Malvern Rangers in the Smedley Crooke Cup.

Ledbury fielding a side containing some reserves were in front on five minutes with a Stuart Smith free kick, which he curled into the top corner from 20 yards.
After ten minutes Ledbury were 2-0 up when Robbie Colwell converted a penalty after Martin Punt was fouled.
Ledbury always looked in control but on 44 minutes they gave away a penalty. The kick went wide to make it 2-0 at the break.
Second half Rangers put Ledbury under pressure with debut keeper Tom Smith busy in the Ledbury goal. On the hour Rangers got one back and ten minutes later from a free kick made it 2-2.
Ledbury stepped up a gear with Lee Hooper netting twice in five minutes to make it 4-2 at full time.
Tomorrow (Saturday) fourth-placed Ledbury Town are away at Gornal Athletic, kick-off 2.45pm. Coach leaves 12.30pm, all welcome.
