FOLLOWING a humiliating 7-0 defeat at Lye last week, Ledbury Town put in another poor display against visiting runaway West Midlands premier division leaders Tipton Town on Saturday.
LEDBURY TOWN 0, TIPTON TOWN 3
The home defence left a lot to be desired in the first-half as Tipton raced into a 0-3 lead, all goals scored by Adam Checketts. Ledbury, who were without the inspirational Steve Olczak, missing through illness, always looked suspect at the back throughout the half.
After the half-time break, Ledbury appeared a lot more organised and never really looked like conceding another goal, but they never troubled the visiting keeper either.
The only Ledbury players to emerge with much credit from the game were Nathan Haisley, Martin Punt and substitute David Skipp.
Tomorrow (Saturday) Ledbury Town are at home against Ettingshall Holy Trinity (2.45pm).
Ledbury are then scheduled to play their West Midlands premier division league cup quarter-final at Wellington on Tuesday evening (March 22).
