Ledbury Town slipped to another disappointing West Midlands premier division defeat to a physical and dominant Heath Hayes side.
LEDBURY TOWN 2, HEATH HAYES 3
Ledbury pressed hard in the first 45 minutes with Mark Brookes going close early on and Gareth Davis having a well-struck shot palmed away. The pressure paid off on 32 minutes when full-back Lee Clueit found space down the right and his cross was powerfully headed home by the onrushing Stuart Smith.
The second 45 minutes saw the visitors up the tempo of the game and pressure the Ledbury back four. Ten minutes into the half Andrew Reed weaved his way into the box only to be upended by Chris Palmer. Striker Richard Hewitt thumped home the penalty to level the scores.
Heath Hayes took control of the game went into the lead when Andrew Reed tapped home from close range on the hour mark. The lead was further increased when Andrew Tuck's fine solo run culminated in an excellent finish from 12 yards.
With five minutes left the score has made a little more respectable when sub Sean McKeon's neat flick-on released Robbie Colwell to blast home from ten yards.
