MORE than £150,000 has been spent improving facilities at a Ross-on-Wye School that dates back to Victorian times.
But there is nothing Victorian about the extension of the hall at Walford Primary School.
More than 180 pupils will benefit from the work that will enable new stage equipment and lighting, greater comfort for assemblies and parents meetings, as well as better physical education.
The work took four months to complete and was finished at the end of last year but the official opening was postponed.
"We wanted to make sure that everything was right. This has been a great team effort and we need to thank the council, contractors, parents and local businesses that have helped with sponsorship," said headteacher Steve Roberts.
