RURAL Herefordshire is not the ideal place to live if serious illness strikes - as farmer Edwin Hughes knows.
Edwin, aged 43, has lived on the family farm at Hatfield all his life and decided to invite visitors to raise funds for the Air Ambulance.
The mixed farm has chickens, chicks, ducks, geese, lambs and cattle.
"It's a good cause and you never know when you might need it. Living in rural Herefordshire means you are a long way from hospital in an emergency," said Edwin.
More than £150 was raised and some of this will be given to help funds at the village church of St Leonard's.
