THE Christian Aid organiser of Hereford is among 10 walkers setting off from Birmingham for Gleneagles on Saturday as part of the Make Poverty History campaign.
Merry Hellier, of Marden, who is also a member of the national Jubilee Debt Campaign Board, is aiming to be part of the human white band around Edinburgh on July 2.
She said: "On July 5, we will be in Gleneagles demonstrating peacefully outside the miles of security fencing. We'll be remembering the day this campaign began when 70,000 people made a human chain around Birmingham during Jubilee 2000."
There will be coaches from Hereford to the G8 summit in Edinburgh.
Coaches will leave the bus station in Ross-on-Wye on Friday, July 1, returning 24 hours later.
