A HEREFORDSHIRE youth project is getting teenagers from a city estate involved in projects ranging from canoeing to artwork.
The scheme, run by the county youth service with support from the Marches Housing Association, also offers help to young job hunters with the writing of CVs.
Seventeen teenagers, aged between 11 and 19, are taking part in the project that meets once a week.
"Since starting the group, we have gained the trust of a fantastic group of young people and developed a good rapport with them," said youth worker Carol Lemm.
"Each member of the group is working towards achieving either the Herefordshire Award or a Duke of Edinburgh Sectional Award."
The youngsters also regularly take to the water at the Bodenham Canoe Centre.
Marches Housing Association is supporting the initiative by making the Barons Cross Community Centre available free of charge and they have also donated £300 to buy equipment.
