Broad Street trader Cheryl Brown, of Snack-a-tack caf and sandwich bar, won the first Newent in Bloom shop window competition.
Her prize was a bottle of vintage champagne, donated by the George Hotel.
She said: "We're really pleased to be winners because the Newent in Bloom project makes the town look so much more attractive and brings all the sections of our community together."
The florally inspired window display was designed by Mrs Brown's mother, Elsie Birch.
Mrs Brown said: "Mum loves doing things like this and next we'll be entering our hanging basket in the best planted container category of the Newent in Bloom garden competition."
Second was Newent Worldwide Travel and third, Forest Hospice Shop. Country Flowers and the Card Shop were highly commended.
