Eastnor welcomed Luctonians on Saturday and gained a three wicket WCL division one win over their local rivals.
EASTNOR v LUCTONIANS
Eastnor won the toss and put Luctonians in to bat and soon had them in trouble with Shahid removing M Lowden in the first over.
Steady progress was made by G Powell (35) and Heathcote but with the score on 35, wickets began to tumble again. Only a middle order revival by E Rollins (22), V Kay (31) and J Davis (34), along with 34 extras, allowed Lucs to reach 172 all out in the 50th over.
Shahid claimed 5-35 and Jabran 4-39. Tommy Hurrell, after an opening over which included four wides, claimed the other wicket with 1-33.
Eastnor made hard work of the run chase but a top score of 48 for Christian Ferreira, supported by runs from Adeel (29), Arshad (29), Dan Baker (24) and Josh Emery (19no), playing his first game for the first team, saw Eastnor to victory by ending the game with a fine six in the 48th over.
E Rollins, with 5-62, was the pick of Luctonian bowlers.
