MORE than 170 people attended Ledbury's civic service at St Michael and All Angels' Church on Sunday.
VIPs included Ledbury mayor Mary Cooper and her consort, her sister Sally Dale.
By coincidence, Hereford mayor Marcelle Lloyd-Hayes also chose her sister, Sandie Taylor, to be her consort this year and both were guests.
Representatives from all the Herefordshire market towns were invited to the service.
Musicians from John Masefield High School provided entertainment before the service began. Head boy Dan Ruddick gave a Gospel reading.
Prayers were led by youngsters from Ledbury Primary School and the 1st Eastnor Brownies were also in attendance.
