PARISH COUNCIL - The Council met on May 26 attended by six Parish Councillors with the clerk, Cllr Keith Grumbly and five members of the public.
ELECTIONS - Mr Phil Collins was welcomed to his first meeting as a newly co-opted member. Mr David Greaves was elected chairman, Mr Neil Ramsay vice chairman, Mr Robert Beddoes footpath officer and tree advisor. A representative on the Queenswood/Bodenham Lake Committee is to be decided shortly. The chairman is to act as emergency contact and he will also continue as Village Correspondent to the Hereford Times.
BUS SHELTERS/LITTER BINS - Gratitude was expressed to Mr Phil Collins for painting the bus shelters and to Mr Neil Ramsay and Mr Robert Beddoes for siting new litter bins close to the bus shelters. It was reported that Herefordshire Council had agreed to install new bus shelters at no cost to the Parish Council in the autumn.
VILLAGE HALL-The Village Hall chairman reported that membership of the committee was extremely small with no new volunteers coming forward. There had been few hall hirings recently and revenue was not meeting running costs. He suggested that the Parish Council consider administering the hall's activities and it was agreed that the Parish Council look into the legal implications and a joint meeting be convened to determine a way forward.
