Kington Ladies' Challenge Bowl stableford produced some fine scores and a countback which left Diana Kemp the winner in a close finish.
Results: 1 Diana Kemp 42 pts, 2 Anita Dart 42, 3 Chris Hughes 40.
Dart and Hughes were in top form in the Vera Frost foursomes, taking the title with a nett 64 on countback from Pam Layton and Angela Wilkes and Janet Taylor and Sue Purslow.
Hughes (80-12-68) also carried off the silver division of the June medal with Purslow (95-28-67) taking the bronze division.
Kington came out as easy winners in a mixed match with Builth Wells with a score of 7-1 in their favour.
q Ross-on-Wye's ladies were not deterred by a mixture of sunshine and rain with 57 members taking part in the May medal.
Pauline Talty carried off the top prize with a nett 71 with Helen Palmer's 83 taking the best gross prize.

Joan Malim carded an excellent nett 66 to win the Rose Bowl, pipping Jenny Eckersley (67) into second. Katy Edwards (71) came home third. Audrey Marfell made a fine comeback after injury to win the over 70s prize with a 94 gross.
Lady captain Di Honey took 54 members on her away day to Ombersley.
Jenny Thornton, Francis Nightingale and Liz Chick were the victorious team with other notable performances coming from Judith Landau, Carol Malim, Mary Palmer, Joan Punnett.
Jeannette Forrester and Rosemary Williams were delighted with their first-ever win which came in the J Salver, a greensome/foursome competition.
q Gemma Hopkins, who also won the nearest the pin competition, finished first of the home side's competitors in the Belmont Spring Cream Teas competition with 18 points but finished a point behind June Cowell (Brockington Hall).
Yvonne Slack (South Herefordshire) and Margaret Middle (Belmont) finished in second and third place respectively with Kerry Welding (Belmont) taking the prize for the longest drive.
q Herefordshire Ladies have enjoyed mixed fortunes in three recent friendly matches.
They beat Leominster 3 - 1 and drew with the Police but lost 4-0 at Worcester Golf and Country Club.
Jo Ellam, Athelae Hart and Rita Roddick teamed up to score 79 points to win a fun waltzing stableford competition with Ellen Goodchild, Lesley Hopkins and Cathy Charlton finishing second.
