Ross-on-Wye author Peter Terson has penned his third piece for production at the town's Phoenix Theatre.
Following The Humanitarians, written with Dick Parker, and The Murderous Miss Lemon, written with Jane Russell, Peter has written The Black and White Gang for the Phoenix Youth Theatre.
Peter's career began writing for the National Youth Theatre, so working with Ross youngsters is something that suits him.
The Black and White Gang tells the story of a group of black and white animals who go off on their travels to set up a home of their own, where they won't be troubled by the multi-coloured majority.
Peter says that any political or sociological message has been devised by the young actors themselves.
The play opens next Wednesday and runs to June 25. For tickets call the Phoenix box office on 01989 564570.
