PRESTEIGNE-based Mangar International launched its latest product in the USA last month.

SEATS (Seat Elevating Access Transfer System) is designed to enable people with mobility difficulties to enjoy air travel in a dignified and fuss-free manner, says the company. Whether such passengers, helped by airline staff, need to reach their seats from a chair or from standing, the system uses small pneumatic lifting cushions and a simple transfer process to help them get there.

Manger International says the risk of injury to both the staff member and passenger is significantly reduced using its system, which comes complete with a rigid trolley case, held by ground staff, for easy storage and transport.

Unveil Due to the nature of the product, and in line with Mangar's desire to expand its international profile, the company chose the Regional Airlines' Association Show in Cincinnati to unveil SEATS.

Marketing manager Andrew Macphail, said: "As the Mangar SEATS is a completely new and unique product it was extremely encouraging to hear all the positive feedback and enthusiasm from visitors to the stand.

"We will now be very busy continuing to research the market and further promoting the product globally."
