WHEN Gwen Haile's daughter Kerry joins Barrs Court School in September, her mum Gwen is determined to see the Hydrosense appeal well on its way to the £750,000 target.
Gwen has already raised more than £1,300 with a six-mile sponsored walk but she won't be satisfied until she has raised a great deal more.
"When we heard Kerry had got a place at Barrs Court we went to see the school and I was horrified by the condition of the buildings."
On Saturday she will be hosting a pig roast and auction evening at The Warren, Bridstow, providing guests with the opportunity to make the financial contribution Gwen asked for instead of birthday presents for her 40th last December.
