Leominster people with concerns about crime and anti-social behaviour are being given the chance to discuss issues with their Community Support Officer in an informal setting.
Donna Jones, the Leominster town centre support officer, is to hold two 'surgeries' each month.
The meet-the-public sessions will be held in Leominster Library.
"I'm keen to provide a point of contact for the local community and also make myself more accessible," said CSO Jones.
"By holding two surgeries a month, I hope I can provide advice and assistance to more people and also deal with concerns face-to-face, which can sometimes be far easier than over the phone."
The surgeries, on the first and third Friday of each month, are being held between 10am and midday initially.
Library manager Martyn Hackesan said: "We're delighted to offer a facility for the new police surgeries and will do all we can to support Donna."
Donna Jones added: "If anyone has anything they want to report, needs confidential advice or would like to pass on information to the police, then come along to the surgery where they will be made welcome," said CSO Jones, who can be contacted on 07813 756708.
