A LITTLE Marcle teenager is preparing to spend six months teaching in Malawi.
Kate Mowbray, 18, will travel to Africa in August and return in January. She will teach basic English, maths and business studies at a boarding school.
Kate, who is currently sitting A-Levels in maths, music technology, photography and business studies at Hereford Sixth Form College, said she was looking forward to the trip.
"I wanted to travel anyway to broaden my horizons but I didn't just want to go for the sake of it, I was interested in giving something back," she said.
When she returns, she hopes to go to Cardiff University to do a degree in applied psychology.
Kate is seeking sponsorship, both for a teacher training course prior to the trip and for travel and expenses out there. Anyone who can help should call her on 01531 670644.
