STROLLERS gained a good Flint & Cook Marches League division five win when they entertained Almelely at Ross Road on Saturday.
STROLLERS v ALMELEY
Two solid partnerships at the start of the Strollers' innings between Skirrow and Lerego (52) and Skirrow and Crosland (68) gave the home side a good platform to accelerate in the last 10 overs, when a handful of wickets fell.
The visitors, who always struggled to keep up with the run rate, were batting for the draw on 85-6 with 15 overs remaining.
Strollers applied enough pressure to grab the win and 19 points when James Powell returned to clean bowl the 10th wicket.
Tomorrow (Saturday), Strollers visit Ewyas Harold.
