The new exhibition at Parkfields Gallery in Ross-on-Wye features work by four artists whose work is inspired by proverbs and sayings.
Hereford artist Shellie Byatt, exhibiting for the first time with Parkfields, has always been fascinated by words and images, and how they interplay.
In her delightful collages, created from torn and cut paper, together with drawing, inks and paint, words are an inspiration.
Also featuring is Herefordshire printmaker Adrienne Craddock who exhibits new collagraphs - printed collages - inspired by proverbs.
Ceramicist Clio Graham designs and makes functional and decorative earthenware.
On some pots she uses lines of verse and poetry to frame the images.
Platters by Prue Cooper also feature.
Titled So The Saying Goes, the exhibition opens this Saturday and continues to July 18.
