RAMBLERS - East Radnor Ramblers, based in Presteigne and Knighton, have two Saturday walks, five Wednesday walks and a volunteer day lined up this month (June).
On Saturday there is a leisurely, 7.5-mile Leinwardine circular walk, starting from near Leintwardine bridge. The moderate, seven-mile walk on Saturday, June 25 takes in the source of the Lugg and Beacon Hill. Meet at Beacon Hill Common, SO 192748.
Wednesday walks started on June 1 with a 10-mile hike taking in Herrock Hill, Bradnor Wood and Yeld Wood. One June 8 the moderate, seven-mile walk takes in Bicton, Colstey and Guilden Down. Meet at Clun Community Centre car park.
There is a moderate, seven-mile Bleddfa circular walk next Wednesday starting in Bleddfa village. On June 22 the walk, a moderate six or seven miles, is in the Hundred House area, meeting at the lay-by on the A481, 1.25 miles north of Hundred House. And on June 29 the moderate, eight-mile walk takes in Stowe, Five Turnings and the Offa's Dyke Path, and meets at Knighton Community Centre car park.
All walks start at 10am.
