CHURCH FETE - St. Mary's Church Fete is being held from 3-5pm on Saturday by kind permission of Mr and Mrs John Spackman in the attractive grounds of Perrymead, next to the church.
Music by The Weobley Brass Ensemble, teas, sideshows, games, bric-a-brac, book and plant stalls will be just some of the attractions to be found at this traditional village church fete. Children entering the art competition, an A4 picture depicting a scene from the Old Testament, should bring their work along for display and judging by 3.30pm. If raining, the Fete will be held in the Cedar Hall.
WI -The Ploughman's Lunch served at the Cedar Hall on Saturday raised £185 which will be donated to Hereford Hospital to help purchase an Ultra Sound machine for the A & E department. The raffle raised £70 which will be given to the charity, Hearing Dogs for Deaf People. The next open event will be a demonstration, by Miss Jean Harper, on gateaux making on Thursday July 14 at 7.30pm in the Cedar Hall. Entry £2 to include refreshments. Everyone welcome. Advance bookings to Eileen Steward 01544 318240. And by popular demand, the WI is hoping to build on last year's success by organising another tabletop sale on Saturday, September 24. Please make a note in your diary. Table bookings to Eileen.
