Kington suffered a surprise first defeat of the season but continue to lead the way at the top of the Crusader Worcestershire County League Division 1.

Visiting Romsley & Hunnington put together 194 despite a fine spell of bowling from all-rounder David Exall who finished with 6-57.

In reply, Kington seemed to be going well at 40-0 but the loss of four quick wickets set the home side back and they were eventually dismissed for 158.

Eastnor bounced back from their disappointments of the previous weekend with a strong showing in a winning draw against Bewdley.

Adeel (78) and skipper Jabran (28) gave the villagers a solid start with an opening stand of 82. Shahid then chipped in with 35 down the order and Tommy Hurrell contributed a late unbeaten 16 to take the final score to 202.

In reply, Bewdley lost three early wickets - one each to Shahid, Adeel and a run-out - before S Mauger (54) and R Combes (29) staged a revival.

Spinners Jim Sandford (4-39) and Jabran (2-25) worked their way through the middle-order, however, to leave Bewdley holding on at 155-9 at the end of their 50 overs.

Luctonians found themselves on the wrong end of a battering from Pakistani all-rounder Imran Farhat as they secured a losing draw at Stourbridge.

Farhat lashed 20 fours and 10 sixes in his 154, reaching 50 in 25 balls, 100 in 59 and 150 in just 82 but received little in the way of support as the visitors racked up 283.

Only R Bradley, with 46, was able to make a major contribution as Rob Harper (5-43) and Paul Davies (3-61) bowled well for Luctonians, dismissing the visitors with nine of their allotted overs still remaining.

In reply, Richard Henwood, with seven fours and a six, top-scored with 59 to help Luctonians to 206-9 from 59 overs. Ed Rollings (30), Vinnie Kay (25), Jonathan Davis (23 not out) and Mark Louden (22) also made useful scores.

Brockhampton turned in a disappointing batting display as they were overturned by three wickets at Alvechurch & Hopwood.

After losing the toss and being put into bat, the visitors surrendered their wickets to Sri Lankan Lakshitha (5-29) as they crumbled to 63-9 before a stand of 34 for the last wicket between Nick Price (36) and Richard Parker (seven) gave the score some respectability.

Parker (4-49) and Mohammad Ali (3-37) reduced the home side to 28-5 at one point before skipper J Rose (47 not out) played a captain's innings to guide his team home.

Bromyard continue to lead the way in Division 2 with their six-wicket success over Harborne maintaining a six-point lead at the top.

Bromyard did well to restrict the home side to 206-9 after the Warwickshire side had raced away to 91-1 from the first 21 overs of their innings.

Tight bowling by Zahid Saeed (3-54) and Dave Kyte (2-29), well supported by Dan Mills (1-47) and Pete Whittenbury (1-47), then ensured that Bromyard had a manageable total to chase.

The Bullock brothers, Matthew and Ashley, gave the Herefordshire club a good start to their reply with an opening stand of 63 before Matthew was bowled for 38.

Ashley (71 not out) pressed on with support from Whittenbury (21) and then Mark Benbow, whose 48 not out included five fours and three sixes, as the visitors reached their target with 3.3 overs to spare.
