HEREFORDSHIRE'S county judo squad, featuring members from the Hereford, Leominster and Ross clubs, have picked up three medals from two recent tournaments.
At a Samurai county competition, with teams from all over the Midlands taking part, the girls' lightweight team shrugged off the handicap of being a member short to battle through to the semi-final where they took a bronze medal.
The boys' lightweight team fought well but failed to get through the pool competition.
At the Wyre Forest Mini Mon competition for orange belts and below, the boys' heavyweight team came away with the silver medal while the girls' lightweight team took bronze.
