YOUNG bowlers are being invited to enter the Kingsland Bowling Club's under-18 competition.
The tournament is being staged as part of the North Hereford-shire club's 25th anniversary celebrations and will take place on Saturday, July 9.
There is no charge to take part but competitors are asked to wear flat shoes, preferably bowling shoes.
Application forms and parental consent forms can be obtained from the Kingsland BC secretary Sandra Palmer on 01568 612980.
Later in the summer, St Martin's BC are holding their annual youth singles championship, the Anning Jubilee Cup, for the 29th time.
As a departure from tradition, this year the tournament will be held at Hereford BC on Sunday, September 4 as the SMBC green closes at the end of August pending construction of the new clubhouse and green.
Entries are invited from boys and girls aged 18 or under as at September 2 with details available from SMBC youth competition organiser Frank Harwood on 01432 276007.
