PIANIST Duncan Honeybourne will be giving a piano recital on Saturday at All Saints Church in Newland in the Forest of Dean.
Duncan has given many lecture recitals and now combines a flourishing career as a soloist and chamber musician with a strong involvement in music education.
Saturday's programme will include pieces by Chopin and Schumann but also piano music by the Forest of Dean composer Herbert Howells (1892-1983), and a sonata dedicated to Duncan by Andrew Downes, a pupil of Howells, who recently retired from the Birmingham Conservatoire after 30 years as Head of Composition, and who will be in the audience.
Tickets will be on sale at the door or reserved from Bea Erskine 01594 835744.
