THE aerator in Newent Lake is now back from being repaired in France.
The town council is hopeful that both the £2,500 device and the fountain will be operational by Easter.
These measures will help keep up oxygen levels in the water.
The council is also hoping to introduce more special micro-organisms into the lake this spring.
The bugs compete with the algae for food. This is useful because too much algae can reduce the amount of oxygen in the water. The treatment costs up to £2,000 a time.
