A PUBLIC meeting is being held by the developers of the former Runnings Park Hotel to gauge response to its latest plan for the site.
There has been widespread discontent in West Malvern at a proposal to turn the former hotel, which closed in 2002, into housing.
A previous application for 23 houses and flats was withdrawn last month.
The latest application features no new buildings but would see the conversion of the existing buildings into 18 units.
Lee Wright, of developers Wright Associates, said he hoped this would prove less controversial.
"We've spoken with our clients and the owners of the site. They were concerned at the level of objection locally to some of the points on the plans," he said.
"We've worked closely with the planning office to come up with a scheme that we fell meets as many of the objections as possible."
The meeting, described as an informal consultation, will be at the hotel on Tuesday (March 30) from 6.30pm to 8.30pm. Anyone is welcome to view the amended plans and artists' impressions and ask questions.
"We've found from experience that not everybody gets a chance to go and have a look at the plans," said Mr Wright. "We thought it would be an ideal opportunity to enable local residents to come along and actually look at the plans and ask any questions they have."
