A FLAGSHIP development to enhance the training of the Herefordshire workforce was launched last week.
Faculty House, which is conveniently located near to many city businesses at Rotherwas, contains the very latest technology with 24 desktop PCs, 10 laptop computers, two interactive white boards and a video conferencing facility to provide high quality training services for employers and employees .
The centre was officially opened by Debbie Gittoes, of Arctic Circle, who hoped many county firms would use the state-of-the-art facilities in the near future.
"As businesses, we have to constantly adapt to changes in a global and very competitive market," she said.
"Being right on our doorstep, this facility will allow us to do this and I would encourage companies to take advantage of the bite-sized chunks of learning that are available to them."
Faculty House has been funded by Advantage West Midlands, the Herefordshire and Worcestershire Learning and Skills Council, and Herefordshire College of Technology, who are all aiming to use the new centre to bring fundamental social and economic benefits to the area.
