SOME of the works of the acclaimed 19th century Leominster artist John Scarlett Davis are to form a new attraction in the town's folk museum.
The Etnam Street museum is to unveil a collection of 13 Scarlett Davies paintings, most of which have been newly-acquired, at the launch of its new season.
Curator Lynne Moult said the paintings had been re-framed and would form a special attraction in a gallery section on the first floor. She said the museum was adding a painting by Presteigne artist Joseph Murray Ince, a friend of Scarlett Davies, to the collection.
Another new item is a Leominster Time Line exhibit, funded by a grant from Staffordshire building society, which shows the key events in Leominster's history.
Leominster Folk Museum open day is on April 3 from 11am. The museum's new season begins on April 5.
