I ATTENDED a public meeting about council tax and counted 23 people.
Of those nine were councillors. With some swift arithmetic that leaves only 14 interested citizens out of our total city population who bothered to attend.
I would certainly not expect to read any complaining letters after council tax is set.
If people cannot be bothered to attend, what was an interesting meeting, then they should suffer the rising tax and keep their mouths shut.
