HERE we go again, just as recently predicted.

Our 'esteemed' Herefordshire Council is going to hike up council tax by more than the rate of inflation. I bet they increase their allowances and expenses to take account of this. No doubt we will hear the same old lame excuses: "It's the Government's fault" or "We have to comply with legislation from Brussells". What a load of baloney.

I see the police precept has been upped too for the umpteenth time, yet we see more reports of thieving, vandalism and general yobbish behaviour week after week.

All we see are requests in your paper for information about the perpetrators. Perhaps one day we will return to the days of bobbies on the beat day and night instead of in their cosy offices or patrol vehicles.
