Hereford United fans have a chance to prove that they are more generous than their counterparts in Shrewsbury in a new cup competition.
The 'Send Shirts to Skopje Cup', launched by the Yorkshire Building Society urges football supporters to dig out outgrown or outdated football shirts so that they can be forwarded on to the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia.
Supporters have until March 18 to take old shirts into their nearest branch of the society - the nearest to Hereford is in Monmouth - or send them to the collection point c/o Catapult PR, 19a-20a Marsh Mill Village, Thornton Cleveleys, Lancashire FY5 4JZ.
Clubs across the country have been drawn against each other in round one of the cup where success is wholly dependent upon the number of shirts donated by each team.
On March 20, the top 16 clubs in England and Wales will be entered into round two with all teams contesting for a place in the final in May to win the 'Send Shirts to Skopje Yorkshire Building Society Cup 2004'.
