Wednesfield 0 Ledbury Town 2
LEDBURY notched their second West Midlands League Premier Division success in four days when their new-look side came away with the three points from Wednesfield.
With Robbie Colwell still on the injured list, Ledbury started with Gareth Davies and Jimmy Hancocks in attack and their pace and foraging caused early upsets for the home defence and the new strike force came up with both of Ledbury's goals in the first period.
With just seven minutes on the clock, Davies struck a great volley from 18 yards which screamed into the net and Hancocks added the second with another fine strike 20 minutes later.
Play became bogged down in midfield after the break and Ledbury were thwarted in their attempts to add to their goal tally, but the Town defence experienced little difficulty in keeping the home side at bay.
Stuart Smith and Stuart Hall worked hard for Ledbury to provide the platform for the win.
Previously, Ledbury cruised to a 5-1 home success against Wolverhampton Casuals.
Hancocks again led the way, scoring twice and the other goals came from Smith, Davies and Steve Olczak.
